Troubleshooting
Wrong version still appears
This is usually caused by old versions still installed with a similar family name.
Safe cleanup process
- Open Font Book (macOS) or Settings > Fonts (Windows) and find all family names that look similar.
- Keep only one active version. Remove older copies and duplicates first.
- Keep your new file name clearly newer (for example `my-tracey-v4.otf`).
- Reinstall the newest file once cleanup is complete.
- Create a real test line in Word/Google docs/Figma and check the visual shape has changed.
What not to do
- Do not install again without uninstalling the old copy.
- Do not rename installed fonts inside apps and expect the OS library to update automatically.
- Do not keep both old and new copies in the same folder without labels.
Expected result
Your system font list should show one active version of the family. Keep older exports in a project folder, not installed.
